For the third year, Lowell Votes and our community partners are coming together for Lowell Voter Registration Week!
What started as a community effort has grown every year, and it wouldn't be possible without the amazing organizations, volunteers, and community members who make it happen.
This year, we're getting ready to make Voter Registration Week bigger, stronger, and more meaningful than ever as we celebrate 250 years of American democracy.
From September 14–19, we'll be working with partners across Lowell to help residents register to vote, update their voter registration, and get ready for the upcoming election season.

Voter Registration Week 2026: A Year to Celebrate Big!
Lowell’s Voter Registration Week is entering its 3rd edition, and this year promises to be our biggest yet. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a citywide tradition that brings neighbors, community organizations, and volunteers together to celebrate civic participation and ensure every voice has the opportunity to be heard.
At a moment when the nation celebrates USA 250 and the City of Lowell reflects on 200 years of civic life, a full year of celebrations, activities, and community-wide engagement is ahead. Voter Registration Week will be a key part of that energy—bringing visibility, pride, and momentum to democracy across the city.

Lowell’s 2nd Annual Voter Registration Week — September 15–20, 2025
Lowell’s Voter Registration Week is quickly becoming a proud tradition in our city — a time when neighbors, organizations, and volunteers come together to make sure every voice is heard.
From September 15–20, 2025, we’ll be setting up voter registration stations across Lowell — in downtown, neighborhood centers, markets, and community spaces — making it quick and easy to register in person or online.
This year, we’re aiming higher:
200+ new voter registrations
500+ residents receiving vital election information
A citywide celebration of democracy
And for the first time, we’ll close out the week with a Celebration of Democracy at JFK Plaza — featuring live music, guest speakers, art, and food trucks — to celebrate our community’s commitment to civic engagement.

Celebrating the Success of Lowell’s First Annual Voter Registration Week 2024!
Lowell’s First Annual Voter Registration Week, held from September 16-20, 2024, was an incredible success, registering 100+ new voters and bringing the community together to celebrate democracy. We are deeply grateful to our 17 amazing partners, the many volunteers, and the City of Lowell for recognizing the importance of this initiative with an official proclamation of general interest.
Throughout the week, voter registration kiosks were set up around the city, making it easy for residents to register both in person and online. We couldn’t have done this without the dedicated efforts of local organizations, businesses, and community centers who worked tirelessly to ensure every voice in our city has the chance to be heard.
This event is just the beginning—we look forward to making Lowell’s Voter Registration Week an annual tradition. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this possible, and to all who joined in registering new voters to strengthen our democracy.

Lowell’s First Annual Voter Registration Week (2024)
Lowell Voter Registration Week is a community initiative dedicated to making voter registration easy and accessible for all residents of Lowell.
From September 16-20, 2024, local organizations, businesses and community centers will work together to help new voters register quickly, both in person and online, to ensure every voice is heard in our democracy.
We are partnering with National Voter Registration Day to organize Lowell’s First Annual Voter Registration Week from September 16-20, 2024. Join us to take part in celebrating and strengthening democracy!

Throughout Lowell’s Voter Registration Week from September 16-20, 2024, voter registration kiosks will be set up around the city to help residents register quickly and easily. These kiosks will make it convenient for everyone to get registered and ready to vote.
