We’re Going to the Ballot for Rent Control! Action!
Out-of-control housing costs driven by corporate real estate investors are pushing people out of their homes and neighborhoods. Families across Massachusetts can’t make ends meet.
If the legislature won’t act, the people will! Grassroots power is how we’ll win this fight — join us.
Take Action!
We need 75,000 signatures to put rent control on the 2026 ballot — and we can only do it together.

HOUSING ORGANIZING 2024
Get involved!
We are organizing residents in Lowell because we know many people are struggling with the rising costs of living.
On THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 26th FROM 5:30-8:00pm we will be at Christ Church United on 180 East Merrimack Street sharing housing experiences about living in Lowell and talking about how we can make Lowell a more affordable city where residents can thrive.
If you want to take action and talk to neighbors about how we can make change join us on September 26th or reach out to Liz: eanusauskas@ywcaoflowell.org or 774-275-7398.
Housing Campaign Info
Lowell Alliance believes that the expansion and strengthening of community networks can lead to the formation of not only accessible, but affordable housing and security. By organizing to change structural systems by building power with our residents we believe we Lowell can become a city where people can thrive and find safe affordable housing.
Many residents are struggling with the rising cost of living. Since June of 2024 Lowell Alliance has been going door to door in Lowell neighborhoods asking about housing concerns people may have. Our outreach team strives towards bringing the people of Lowell together by having conversations with people at their doors. In September, we will be holding a meeting where all are welcome to congregate and share, so action can be taken and progress can be made.
