Five Protective Factors

A part of the Strengthening Families framework in Massachusetts and across the U.S., the Five Protective Factors support the overall well-being of families by helping parents learn about and access resources, supports, and strategies for effective parenting.

Developed by the Center for the Study of Social Policy, the Factors focus on parental resilience, finding support in times of need, developing social connections, understanding child development and parenting, and supporting healthy social and emotional development in children.

Whether a parent or service provider, feel free to download and use these posters to support healthy care-taking of ourselves and our families!
